The drug test would be part of discovery if Vitor tried to sue. In that case it would be up to Vitor to either accept the consequences and move on, or to sue and expose himself as a PED user. And no, it wouldn't be a bigger example, because Vitor was in the wrong and the UFC would have been completely justified in pulling him to protect his opponent, the champion. Again, we can go round and round here, but no matter how you try to spin this, the UFC was culpable in not only letting a fighter compete on PEDs, but in continuing to facilitate his ability to compete while using and shelter him for years after the fact. No matter how you try to excuse it, that still looks extremely bad for the UFC.
